 The BANAL Fund Update: Tracy Morgan (1/22/12) Tracy Morgan Is Working With GLAAD To Become "Un"- BANAL Tracy Morgan was performing a stand up routine in a club last year when he made a comment that he would stab his son to death with a knife if his son ever confessed to being gay. An audience member recorded the comments and posted them on Twitter, which led to Tracy Morgan becoming BANAL and drawing a lot of media attention. Both NBC and co-star Tina Fey chimed in condoning the comments. Tracy Morgan did end up issuing an official apology to GLAAD, spent some time with victims of abuse because they were gay/lesbian and agreed to shoot some public service announcements. It was just recently revealed that 30 Rock and GLAAD have teamed up to poke fun about the incident. *Spoiler Alert* It has been revealed that Tracy Morgan's tv show '30 Rock' will be making a spoof of Tracy Morgan's BANAL event from last year. In the upcoming episode, Tracy does the same thing and makes some homophobic remarks while performing a stand up routine in a night club. Just like real life, there is a public backlash. In the 30 Rock episode, Tracy's boss, Liz Lemon, explains to Tracy that his comments have offended a lot of people and that he must make a public apology to GLAAD... or risk losing his job.
