__Cool HSX Feature:
Player Profile

Have you ever wanted to let the HSX Community know a little more about your background and your movie preferences?
_Player Profile

HSX has a cool feature called "Player Profile" that lets you tell HSX Players a little more about yourself. 

All HSX Players have a profile attached to their account, but not all players have taken the opportunity to fill out the personal information section.  All profiles list the day that the player joined HSX, their current rank, the number of different stocks they own, which leagues they are in and their net worth.  Player Profile also lists and links to the last 10 posts that the player has made.  All other information is optional.  You can choose whether to reveal your birthday, occupation, gender and location.  There is a section for each player to write anything that they would want displayed on their profile.  There is also a favorites list where you can choose to list your favorite movies, performers and/or directors.

To set up (or change) your own profile, go to 'Account Settings' in the top right corner of any HSX page.  Your Account Settings page will appear and the link to edit your Profile is in the right hand column. "Edit My Profile"

_First each profile has the ability to have an avatar.  Your avatar will show up on your profile and will also appear in the inner message of any posts you make on the HSX Boards.

You have three choices:

1) Click the DELETE IMAGE tick box "I don't want a profile image".  Doing this will make it so you do not have an avatar on your profile page and in your forum posts.

2) You can upload your own image using the CHANGE IMAGE loader.  HSX will automatically resize your image to 90 x 90 so it will fit.

3) If you do not upload your own image and if you do not click the check box to have no image, then you will recieve the default "inside trader in witness protection" avatar (seen above).


Make A Statement

The next section "A Little About You" has its own instructions included on the page.  Basically, this is the place where you can write anything that you would like to be included on your profile page.


Stuff You Like

The "My All Time Favorites" section lets you show which movies, performers and/or directors that you really enjoy.  If your favorite has been listed on HSX you can simply type in the ticker instead of typing out the name.  Only one stock per line and only ten favorites per category (your profile will only display the first ten in each category).



Let's Get Personal... (Or Not)

When you signed up for HSX you gave a little personal information to them.  This next section "Show/Hide Background Information" allows you to display some of that personal information.  If you tick the checkbox, then HSX will include your hometown, birthday, occupation, and gender on your profile page.  This is optional.  The default is to NOT include this information.  You must tick the check box in order for it to be displayed.



Apply

When you have finished filling out your profile, simply click the "Apply Changes" button at the bottom of the page.  Do not worry about making any mistakes or missing information.  You can go back at any time and change/update your profile.



Look What I Made!


If you would like to look at your profile page and see what the other players are looking at, you have two ways to get there:

1) Go back to 'Account Settings' and in the right hand column click 'View My Profile' in the EDIT MY PROFILE area.

2) You can also get to your profile (or any other players profile) by clicking on your/their name.  All names appear as links to each players profile page.  You can click on your name (or another players name) in forum posts, leagues, trader watchlist and on leader boards.
