I remember, when I was growing up, how excited I would get when a sequel would be released. It was a special thing and usually only happened a few times a year... now it seems like there is a sequel happening at least almost every month!

Hollywood is constantly changing and not only are they making sequels to recent hit movies, they have started making sequels to ancient movies (like Tron, Indiana Jones and now Top Gun)!

Below is a list of sequels/prequels (and two spinoffs) that have already announced a release date (meaning they are very serious about making the film).
